The Page One soap opera on this site, counting down the Democratic candidates who don't declare homosexuality to be moral has me greatly concerned.
Which Democratic candidate for president has declared homosexuality to be immoral?
NONE, last I checked.
It is an issue that is not ours. It is the GOP that has issues.
Or we can do their bidding and fight it out here.
Here is the queston: What GOP candidate is ready to claim that homosexuality is NOT IMMORAL.
Now that is a good question. Last I checked, all the Dem candidates agree it is not immoral. What about the GOP?
Bottom line on this fight: Which Republican candidate will say that homosexuality is NOT immoral?
It is the GOP that has the fight.
Not the Democrats.
What I see here is people complaining because some Democrats have dodged a bullshit, right wing trap.
Do I think homosexuality is immoral? No.
Does any Democratic candidate for president? No.
End of issue.
Now, if you want to follow down the path of baiting candidates into a sound bite, you are free to feel OUTRAGE that said candidates have NOT proclaimed it moral.
Go mince some onions with those words.
Let's bring it on: Is someone claiming Hillary Clinton is anti-gay? Seriously? Are you SERIOUS?
Is someone claming Barack Obama is anti-gay? Seriously?
Because they refused to submit to a sound bite?
Well, that is lame criteria.
I don't think Obama OR Clinton are anti gay.
Who disagrees?
This is a stupid sound bite test. The Republicans would love it if we dragged it out for months.
It is silly.
Please let it go.
UPDATE: Reading some comments. Again, cut to the chase.
Which Democratic candidate is anti-gay?
NONE.
It is a phony issue.
Why pursue it.
It is a sound-bite fight that is meaningless.
This is a phony fight that Democrats have been baited into.
Which Democratic candidate is anti-gay? None.
Now if some want to fight over it anyway, go ahead. The GOP is loving it.
