Ed Henry at CNN reporting that Vice-President Cheney has been taken to George Washington University Hospital for unknown reasons.
Henry reports that Cheney's office is saying that it's just for a "check-up".
I think that there is room for doubt, given the past history of strong disagreement between Cheney's office, and the truth.
Will post updates as I get them.
UPDATE, 11:47 EDT: Confirmed on CNN's Political Ticker.
UPDATE: 12:13 EDT: Ed Henry reporting that Vice-President Cheney now back at work. Henry further reports that it was odd that the Vice-President's office knew nothing about Cheney's appointment.
Frankly, I thought the odd thing was that they apparently seemed to be telling the truth.
Story over. NOT. UPDATE AFTER THE JUMP.
UPDATE, 12:27 EDT: So, the OVP is now changing its story. Shocking. Gee, I guess I was right to be skeptical.
New report from Ed Henry: The VP was taken to the hospital after experiencing some discomfort in his left leg. The OVP initially denied this story, after Ed Henry called the OVP to sheck on reports that the VP motorcade was seen at GWUH, saying something along the lines of "Who are you going to believe Ed, me or your lying eyes?"
After Ed's last report, Megan (from the Office of the Vice-President) e-mailed Ed the newly corrected truth. But the bottom line, Ed reports, is that Cheney is back in his office at work. But is he at work the same way he was at work while simultaneously at the hospital, or is he at work at his desk?
I will update any corrections to the corrections of the initially truthy reports.
Story over. Maybe.
