I was sifting thru some entries on anysoldier.com this morning.

I came across this one that immediately got my interest:
Our small hospital takes care of injured Coalition forces and we're trying to make do under less than ideal sanitary conditions. We could really use some non-chemical cleaning supplies like disposable dust cloths (dry and wet swiffer, etc), magic mops, etc. They are not available at the local post exchange. We appreciate so much your material and prayer support. Thank you so much. God bless!
Background and thoughts below....
A little background: I sell CDs on amazon.com. I know. I know. All you anti-amazoners please spare us your comments on the subject for just this diary.
Anyway, I buy on eBay and then sell individually on amazon. Some of the CDs I get on eBay are just not sellable on amazon for one reason or the other...promos, advance copies, imports, can't get a price, whatever.
So, in the last week, I decided to start whittling down my unsellable pile by sending them off to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. You can only get three addresses a day, so each day I go in and pick three at random.
When I came across this one today, let's just say I was a little shocked: A hospital without the proper supplies to maintain sanitary conditions.
To get more data for the unit in question, see the entry dated 3/24 for LT Omar C. Hiponia at:

I ask that you, as your daily devotion today, consider sending whatever you can to these folks. If our government can't do the job right, then we will have to do it ourselves.
I'm not set up to send sanitary supplies this weekend. Maybe you are. I will send some music. Please send what you can. Support our troops.
