Instead of just picking a favorite, rate them all on a —10 to 10 scale. And there are two write-in slots for the choices you want that kos missed.

10 is good, —10 is bad. Leaving some blank is ok. Check the pop-up menus for write-in candidates that other people have cast.
Someday I want real elections to be this way, but in the mean time we should definitely have our informal online polls be counted this way. We can find out much more interesting things about ourselves this way. Does some candidate have broad but lackluster support? We'd never know if we were only counting people's pick-one votes for their favorites. Or maybe one of the front runners has broad acceptance but another front runner alienates a big chunk of the voters, we'll see that in the —10 votes.
Last month I got results from 252 votes and I always hope to top that and get better data. Express yourself, be heard. It's what democracy should look like.
Update [2007-4-16 14:22:47 by bolson]:
I know there are some duplicates in the write-ins, with some people being named in not quite the same way. I'll fix that up in post processing (big find-replace to standardize on one form of a name) and there will be a results diary tomorrow.
Update [2007-4-16 17:27:34 by bolson]:
There's been a lot of ballot stuffing, pro Hillary/Obama/Richardson and anti Edwards. This too will be cleaned up before I post results tomorrow.
