Via Atrios, we learn of the wonderful and certainly informative conference today on Incivility in American Politics, with the following notable participants:
11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., "Fundamental Questions on Civility and American Politics": Amy Gutmann, University of Pennsylvania; U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman, Independent Democrat of Connecticut; U.S. Rep. John Boehner, Republican of Ohio
(As a Penn alumnus, I can't tell you how ashamed I am to be even tangentially affilitated with this...)
But, we're in luck! At the bottom of the page there is this helpful information:
live webcast of the Penn Conference on Civility and American Politics will be accessible at http://www.fels.upenn.edu/... . After the conclusion of the Conference, an archived version will be available at http://www.fels.upenn.edu/... .
Since I am certain that we shall be treated to many high-minded civil homilies for Holy Joe and Minority Leader Boehner which will be semantically equivalent to "Those loudmouth bloggers and Moveon.org wackos should shut the hell up!", it seems to me that the post-conference video ought to be rife with video-editing/mashup opportunities!
