No, I'm not going anywhere, but it's time for randymi to go. Over a year has passed since I moved to San Francisco and boy has a lot changed. Our son was born, I found a new job, we took over Congress, we're represented by the Speaker of the House and moved to our bigger apartment (you should have seen our old one). I have a CA driver's license and voter registration card, San Francisco and Hayward library cards and just recently I joined the Commonwealth Club of California.
Much hss yet to be done. The kid has already reached his "terrible twos" in 15 months, I'm trying to brush up on my Spanish and improve my Chinese and Japanese. I'm still just now getting my feet wet in SF politics; though I have had the opportunity to see many of our local and state politicians in person (meeting Barbara Boxer is still the highlight). And gosh, we're trying to figure out how to buy a house in California. But, last week, as I stood on Ocean Beach to watch the sun set on the Pacific, I only had one thought in my mind...
"I am a Californian. How can anyone want to be anywhere else?"
So, as randymi I bid you all farewell. As RandySF, I look forward to making California a better place for all of us.
