The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise grows it under his feet.
James Oppenheim, Minnesota Poet and Author
I was encouraged to make my Beautiful World Diary a series in order to give all of us photogs a place to share our visual experience. Thanks for all the support and remember- It isn't the person, or the camera, but the world that is beautiful. Let's try to keep it that way!
It's full blast hardcore spring here in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, United States, Northern Hemisphere, Earth- and thank goodness! Crisp mornings, warm afternoons, and cool evenings. It's a pretty nice place to be- especially when you have a little time to root about in the dirt. My school has started a pesticide-free garden-share program and my office signed up for a plot! In preparation for marigold and tomato wrangling, I have been rooting around below eyelevel in the city with my cheap little camera. This week's Beautiful World is the mostly overlooked world of five inches and under.
Please share your views of our beautiful round world in the comments!
