Reps. Adam Schiff and Artur Davis have raced ahead to introduce their resolution of no confidence against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales before Senators Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer could debut their own.
Resolved: That the House of Representatives and the American people have lost confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, and urge the President to request his resignation and to nominate a new candidate more capable of serving as head of the Department of Justice.
But does it have a snowball's chance in hell of passing? House Republicans have been much friendlier with the hospital-bed-hopping Attorney General than their Senate colleagues.
