I am disappointed that we can't get timelines or a troop withdrawal at some point right now. However, we need to keep things in perspective.
We don't have the votes, especially with the Independent Democrat in the Senate who has decided not to budge.
Where do we have the votes? I am just tired to people talking about not giving money to the DNC or the Democratic Party because they can't end this war today.
They can't, we can't.
We can only win by not giving up, by continuing to fight, by winning more elections. If you give up now, in any way shape or form we will be letting them win.
If we stop working, if we stop fighting, if we stop giving. The Republicans win, that's what they want.
The Congress couldn't end the Vietnam war overnight as much as some of them wanted to.
We can't impeach the President, we can't even end this war today. We must see that if we are disappointed we must press on.
Keep up the pressure on the Republicans, if you want to really win. BEAT THEM AT THE POLLS.
If we win back more seats in the House and the Senate in 2008, we will get our victory and we will make sure that OUR congress never sends us to war without a cause, without questions, without leadership.
John Kerry is RIGHT, this is only round one. This is not over.
