Am I the only one, or is there a problem with the format of this debate? I mean, except for the debate itself, the before and after report is being done very differently than it was for the Dem debate.
For instance: After the Dem debate, Tweety immediately launched into who won and what did every think about the debate. Olbermann, only had one talking head comment on the debate and then, almost immediately, as if the candidates were aready lined up, began interviewing the candidates. This gives them a chance to continue the damned debate, clarify their stands, clear up and correct gaffes and, in general, make free brownie points.
More below the flip
It was clever of MSNBC to have Tweety host the Dem Debate and Olbermann to host the Republican debate. I mean, after all, Tweety can interrupt and comment on Hillary's pearls and such, while Olbermann politely asks good questions and then just as politely listens without interrupting, the candidates answers.
How about this? Before the Dem debate, the MSNBC website had a poll up for the Dem candidates; to be more precise a before and after poll. There is no such poll for the Republicans.
I am wondering if you are seeing what I am seeing....the Dem debate was handled like a three ring circle - heavy on intertainment but light on substance, whereas the Thugs get to be heavy on whatever and light on entertainment.
If you weren't particularly savvy and watched both debates - which group would you feel more comfortable running the country?
