Here is an update from yesterday's update.
This morning I received a phone call from the mayor of Broward County apologizing for the incident, stating that the county has a zero-tolerance policy for these types of actions. He later held a press conference.
The mayor reiterated his personal apology to me and my partner at the press conference that included 15 other county and airport officials. He also said that the sheriff's department is doing a full investigation, and that if an employee was responsible, the person would be terminated.
The press release issued to the media stated that other personnel and customers also heard the announcement.
I will let you know if they find out who did it.
