As the 2008 Presidential race shifts into high gear, it is has become very clear that candidates must be part of the online and multimedia revolution. From John Edwards famously asking a crowd to text his campaign headquarters to the now infamous Clinton Sopranos spoof, candidates are being pushed to the creative limits, and I would argue that it's good.
Online social networking has forced candidates to reach out to and become more connected and responsive to the average American. The John Edwards for President campaign is leading that movement with a new online contest where you can demand that the Senator come to your town. I, obviously, want him to come to my town Columbus, Kentucky
Columbus is a small community in rural Western Kentucky that boasts a population of 229 and is about a 50 minute drive from the closest McDonalds. I am excited that online organizing is giving my town the chance to have a major Presidential candidate come and talk with us directly about the problems facing rural America.
As a result of online organizing, Columbus is one of the top 10 cities most demanded in America and we are threatening to take over the top spot today! I hope that you will help that movement by CLICKING HERE TO BRING JOHN EDWARDS TO COLUMBUS, KENTUCKY. And then, I hope that you too will demand that John Edwards or Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or John McCain or whoever come to your town.
Technology has given us the opportunity to connect with our leaders on an unprecedented level and play an integral part in shaping public policy. I hope that you will take advantage!
