As any health nut and juice aficionado knows, celery juice has a special cooling benefits. Drinking it in cool weather is the best thing one can do to stay comfortable during heat waves. When CNN's man on the street was asking people what they were doing to cope, one man mentioned that he had his celery juice with him for this reason. "Learn something new everyday," said the meteorologist. THIS SHOULD BE ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE TO WHO HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS TO DISSEMINATE IT TO THE PUBLIC. Why is such simple and important knowledge so hard to bring to the mass public???
To top it off, I changed the channel to ABC and they were harping on the Senate's investigation about the massive tax loopholes that us Daily Kos-men read about on here yesterday which is costing us $150 billion a year. Yet David Cay Johnston had already written about this extensively 2 years ago in his book, Perfectly Legal: The Covert Campaign to Rig Our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich--and Cheat Everybody Else. Yet, just like the important celery juice benefits, the general public--and the news media they depend on--only just today discover this "news" IF they happened to turn on the TV this morning.
...Incidentally, why do I get the feeling that I'm the only person alive aware of the fact that if we had been subsidizing solar panels and windmills for the last 5 years then the electric companies wouldn't be struggling to keep the power going. As Lynn Samuels said last week on her radio show: "SHUT OFF THE FRICKEN LIGHTS OUTSIDE DURING THE DAY TIME!!!"
