You know, the one from yesterday:
Dean 29 (43)
Gephardt 22 (23)
Kerry 21 (15)
Edwards 17 (10)
Other 8 (?)
Undecided 3 (?)
With Gephardt, Kerry and Edwards all above the magical 15% threshhold, it is now more unlikely that any of them will sacrifice in order to defeat Dean. Gephardt's primary interest now has to be to avoid 3rd, which would kill his campaign,so he's sure as hell not going to sacrifice any. Similarly, a Kerry 2nd place finish, helps him a lot more than simply sacrificing delegates to Gephardt to help him beat Dean, because he would much rather show his resurgance and resiliance to New Hampshire voters than show them Dean can be defeated. As for Edwards, 2nd place or better gives him a whole new life and sets him up to compete better with Clark.
This is all with the caveat that the percentages are similar at each caucus. And I suppose in a miraculous world, Kerry and Gephardt could selectively sacrifice back and forth to each other in caucus by caucus to rig a 1-2 finish for each of them (i.e. Dean finishes second everywhere while Gephardt or Kerry finishes first or third everywhere). But as someone said, it really may be just the first vote that matters, for the sake of the press reporting to the nation
who won.
