Today, DKos posted a reminder of the list of regular frontpage contributors who can be legitimately said to "represent" the Daily Kos as a publication. But what about the "membership" of Daily Kos? It's readers, like you, who make the site relevant?
Read on to cast your vote for "your Daily Kos Representative".
These people don't have any power other than their obvious power to post stories on the DKos front page, through the DKos editorial process (which is largely unknown to its readers). And they have the "power" to represent DKos when speaking in public, like being quoted by other media. But let's vote for them anyway. If nothing else, it will remind us of the similarity with voting for Democrats the past 12 years, who evidently had even less power, and perhaps continue to envy DKos "representatives" in their new potency, since this January's regaining the majority.
There weren't quite enough poll responses to include Jeremy or Adam B, or indeed even Kos. But they represent the entire site all the time, and are more like the Executive Branch. At least that's what their rigging the poll answer count has done to our once-proud, balanced republic.
FWIW, I voted for Kagro X. And I don't mind saying so.
