The Washington Post has once again decided to take it upon itself to leave out important facts and totally mischaracterize its latest polling on Congress. According to the article, they inserted this gem:
Washinton Post Article Lying Again = Peter Baker
And the president's team takes solace in the fact that the public holds Congress in low esteem, too. More than half disapproved of Congress generally, and Democrats in particular,in the latest Post-ABC survey, though their ratings were still better than Bush's.
WAPO once again trying to make it as though it's the Democrats who are held in low-esteem because that's the convenient meme for now when it's the REPUBLICANS in CONGRESS who's approval is in the tank.
Washinton Post Poll Internals
The Republicans in Congress
Approve Disapprove No opinion
7/21/07 34 64 2
and the Democrats?
the Democrats in Congress
Approve Disapprove No opinion
7/21/07 46 51 2
And looking at past congressional polling, this is not a low number for Democrats - but you wouldn't know that by reading WAPO's effort to be "fair and balanced" by writing based on fiction, not the facts.
And they wonder why we don't trust the traditional media. WAPO showing its true colors.
