Since the Kerry debates, there has been speculation about whether Bush is occasionally prompted by handlers through an ear piece.
TPM has a YouTube video up that shows MSNBC coverage of Bush's first public statement since Libby's sentence was commuted. This is, of course, pure speculation on my part, but the more I watch the video, the more I wonder if someone is prompting him as he answers questions.
The video:
In the first minute or so of the video, he seems to be speaking normally (for Bush). But check it out when the questions turn to Libby. The final question is especially bizarre.
Is that spooky, or what? The rapidly blinking eyes. The bizarre pauses in the middle of a sentence. The blank look in his eyes that suggest he is listening to someone.
Or maybe I'm just giving him too much credit, and he really is that bad of a public speaker...
Sorry for the short diary. Just wanted to know if anyone else had noticed this.
