Some days ago (July 18th, I believe), Sen. Specter delivered himself of quite a tirade in responding to Sen. Reid, the subject being the all-night debate concerning the Iraq quagmire, errr, war.
I am trying to find a complete transcript of his remarks. So far, I have found snippets and bits and pieces here and there, which include such gems as: "We had a meaningless, insulting all-night session for absolutely no purpose. It was an indignity to the senators who were kept here all night to vote," and also, that Specter felt that the whole exercise made the Senate "the laughing stock of the world."
If anyone is aware of where to find a complete, unedited, transcript of Specter's performance, I would be in their debt if they might be so kind as to please indicate where I could locate this. I plan to write a sharp letter to Specter's office, and perhaps letters to editors of local PA newspapers as well. Thank you in advance !
