It seems to me that Meteor Blades nails it here.
and Patriot Daily News Clearinghouse nuances it nicely and oh-so-clearly in the diary presently front paged on Frog Marching em out presently.
For me, it's hard to really take the time to contact government reps and such folks, knowing it never really makes much of an impact. I do it on rare occasion, though.
It seems to me that after reading these two diaries (please do read them), it is hard not to conclude that a proper, just investigation of this administration could be commenced by convincing ONE man- a friendly one, at that- to getting his committee in order and starting.
Chairman of House Judiciary John Conyers, Jr.
I will write him, this time. He does indeed have the power. One man. Who may well indeed listen. Will you pledge to make contact with his office to begin with a
"criminal proceeding" to investigate allegations of criminal obstruction of justice by Bush and his administration."
Listen, I really am a sideline player. I enjoy reading and talking politics, but I am lazy. I get overwhelmed thinking of contacting all members of the House Judiciary Committee. But in considering it, it seems like if Conyers wants to move with this, this friendly Democratic committee will follow his lead.
I can move my butt to give one phone call, to shoot them one email.
Can you?
Yep, it's throwing down the gauntlet. If you've ever volunteered any time to any political cause, or donated money to any campaign... well, you must care.
Think about doing this one.
And give this diary a boost, if nothing else. Let's properly hold our President to account for his deeds. Me. You. Starts July 2007 if Chairman Conyers says it's time. Help boost him to it.
