Now that we have a clear and distinct pattern by the Bush White House to release controversial news on Friday afternoons, it seems to me that both the practice, and the time, need a name. For example, it could be called...

Shoe Dropping
and
Shoe Drop Friday (or First Shoe Friday)

but I'm sure the creativity of all will provide a better suggestion. Have at it!
