I was wandering around Facebook today because my girlfriend joined a cause called Support the Troops. That's fine and good, but I figured that I would search for a Bring the Troops Home cause and join that instead. I support the troops but would much rather bring them home.
I typed 'Bring Home' into the cause search box and and got a list of possible groups. I clicked on one of them (I think you may need to be on Facebook to see this)...

Needless to say, I was rather surprised to see Rudy Guiliani's mug staring back at me on a 'Bring the Troops Home' cause page. Not only is his picture there, but any donations you make to this group supposedly go to his 2008 presidential campaign. Is that some sort of sick joke?
Luckily no one has given any money to this cause yet. I'm sure the last place you want to donate money to bring the troops home is the Guiliani campaign. He also states in his description box that "6 years is enough of Bush". If you're sick of Bush, why would you be supporting Giuliani.
I'm seriously thinking about joining the group just to ask this guy what he's thinking. Is he a Repulican in disguise trying to dupe people into donating to Giuliani, or is he a naive high school kid. No matter what it turns out to be, I'm definitely going to take a look at some other Facebook groups to see if they're really what they say they are.
On a side note. I'm rather new here, and this is my first diary. If any of you seasoned bloggers have any tips I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not very versed in computers or computer language. I like reading the diaries and front page articles, but am not big on doing diaries myself. I'm afraid of getting bashed around because I don't really know what I'm doing yet!
