I attended a small, private Christian college in a western suburb of Chicago called Wheaton College. This is also the same college that the evangelist Billy Graham attended. That said, I have a deep respect for Billy Graham. Anytime he says anything I usually take pause to intently listen.
I just read an article in Time magazine where Reverend Graham said the following:
"I keep up with her," Graham said. "I think a lot of Hillary...She is different from the Hillary you see in the media. There is a warm side to her — and a spiritual one."
More below the fold...
For anyone who knows me here at dKos you know that I am a staunch conservative. I won't go through the details but I think it is important that I restate my position in politics.
After I read the article linked above, I immediately instant messaged my wife and we had the following conversation:
Shaun McDonnell says:

K says:

K says:

Shaun McDonnell says:

K says:

Shaun McDonnell says:

This is the first time I have seen Hillary portrayed as an electable woman from a source many of us on the right deem highly credible. Even in her speeches lately she seems more human and more presidential.
At the beginning of these debates and the presidential campaign the only Democrat I thought I could hold my nose and vote for was Obama. His recent comments on nuclear weapons and Pakistan floored me and sent me running. I believe innocence had a role to play in those words but with innocence usually comes naivety and America cannot afford naivety.
I think the Democrats have something with Hillary that has the potential to bring in voters across the aisle. I do not agree with her stance on taxation but at this point in the game taxes do not mean much to me -- a candidates ability to show his/her constituents his/her humanity does wonders when it comes to trust.
No other Democratic candidate or Repulican candidate for that matter has yet to do that.
