Every day (almost!) of September I'm making a contribution to a new candidate, announcing it here on Daily Kos, and encouraging you to join me. If one person matches my contribution on my ActBlue page, I'll double my contribution; if ten people match it, I'll triple. Details here.
Since my contribution on Friday, four more people, led by ThatTallGuy, contributed to Carol Shea-Porter, so today she gets $20 more from me.
Mary Jo Kilroy is running for an open seat this time. Follow me below the fold for more.
Last year Mary Jo came within 1,100 votes of beating incumbent Deborah Pryce in Ohio's PVI R+1 district. Not only is Pryce stepping down, but her most likely Republican replacement, Jim Petro, will not be running either. The Republicans are having a hard time finding a candidate, and we've got a solid, experienced campaigner already running strong in the district.
I want to expand on our victories from 2006, build a stronger Democratic majority in the House. Mary Jo is poised to help that happen, so today she's getting $20 from me. Won't you please join me?
