By way of the General, who heard from Pam, who might of heard from Brad, or they all kind of knew it all along....
The Birmingham Sentinel reports yet another possible Republican gay murder suicide:
A Republican political consultant killed in an apparent double murder-suicide in Florida had worked extensively in Alabama politics including a controversial "Adam and Steve" campaign leaflet that parodied gay marriage.
Ralph Gonzalez, 39, president of The Strategum Group, was found dead Thursday along with his roommate, David Abrami, 36, and a friend, Robert Drake, 30, according to The Associated Press.
A motive has not been determined. Weapons and signs of a struggle were found in the house.
To tell the truth, I'm getting a little sick of this shit. I commend the General for writing to bolster Poor Senator Mitch McConnell, who must be feeling utmost empathy for those who suffer. He euthasianally threw our illustrious Senator from Idaho under the bus, and then, as we've all heard many times from many sources, backed the bus up over and over again. I've done similar things (on very, very rare occassions) with raccoons I've hit, because I believe it to be much more humane than the tire iron.
As usual, please forgive my underdone tag search, if I've already missed the "big diary" that had all of this, this morning. I did do one.
I am sorry for the families and their loss. But as a "national family," I'm even more sorry that we hold such primitive and insensitive and downright hateful attitudes towards our GLBT neighbors.
This latest sad tale seems to have none of the funny side of the toilet toe tapping Senator Craig. It seems to be some sort of relationship gone horribly wrong.
It's a good time to remember that even aliens to the GLBT community (myself included) should remember that we are all human beings that find our own way to break. In our final moments of life, our deepest regrets will those times when we failed to show any bit of compassion, when it would have cost us nothing to do so.
May these two rest in peace.
I'd sure hate to meet my maker as a Republican.
