After we successfully did away with the planned CBC/FOX Noise debate, it now appears that the DNC needs another wake-up call...

TVNewser has learned Fox News will be the pool for the Democratic National Convention in Denver beginning August 25, 2008. And NBC News will be the pool for the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis the following Monday, September 1.
There's another paragraph there explaining what the "pool" is - shots of the crowd et al at the convention. I wonder exactly what kind of footage Fixed Noise will provide. One thing's for certain - despite not "officially" covering the convention, I'm sure Ailes and the management will try to focus on anything they can that might look unfavorable towards the Dems, even if it's grasping at straws.
Am I overreacting here? Is this all much ado about nothing? I'd love to think so but as Robert Greenwald has so brilliantly illustrated, Fox is much like their namesake - they're not to be trusted near the henhouse or any house really. If it's a Democrat they're covering, that person and the party they represent is an evil, evil
entity meant to be derided and scorned.
In any case, I'd like to see the DNC rethink this. Sure, on the surface it may look innocent enough. But when we're talking about Faux News, as we've seen, nothing's off limits in their attempt to cast aspersions and vile right-wing rhetoric toward any and everyone that doesn't have an R after their name.
