I was stuck yesterday for a topic and a friend (Donnamarie) suggested Bushism and after last nights performance it was a lock. So pull out your favorite moments, phrases and stories about our Commander and Chimp and have at it. Videos will work too, if you've got them. Just a warning to those with dailup, this could be tough real quick for you guys, sorry. So get in early.
And now a salute to those on the Road2DC. And don't forget next Friday, Iraq Moratorium Day. For those in the ATL area, OPOL has secured a room at Manuels for some video viewing and get together.
Now as per usual we have our Mojo Friday Guidelines. Remember this is all about fun so be nice and have fun.
1. If you comment you have to recommend all comments. (in order to recieve mojo you have to give mojo. It's only good mojo manners.)
2. Everything you say may be taken as a joke (so if you ask a question, expect a silly answer)
3. You must recommend the diary (and pimp it unapologetically)
4. You don't have to comment to recommend.
5. You can't steal my idea (heh, right, like that ain't goin' to happen)
6. Mojo mojo mojo mojo, mojo mojo mojo.
Oh and let's not forget the goals;
A) 100 plus different commenters
B) 100 plus recommends for each comment, at least.
C) And always, fun fun fun.
D) Overload the servers with recommends, not to mention dominate Top Comments Mojo list
E) That's enough for now. (Have a suggestion? Post it.)
On with the show:
"They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it's some kind of federal program."
Bush in St. Charles, Mo. Nov. 2, 2000
"There ought to be limits to freedom."
Bush, commenting on the website gwbush.com during the primary. Primary 2000
I want it to be said that the Bush administration was a results-oriented administration, because I believe the results of focusing our attention and energy on teaching children to read and having an education system that's responsive to the child and to the parents, as opposed to mired in a system that refuses to change, will make America what we want it to be—a literate country and a hopefuller country.
Washington, D.C. Jan. 11, 2000
And poop on you George;
And from Letterman;
"We spent a lot of time talking about Africa, as we should. Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease."
-Gothenburg, Sweden, June 14, 2001
One of my favorites;
"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities."
--Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004
You can listen to it too.
And don't forget what he thinks of us.
Now it's your turn. Have at it. And have fun.
