Every day of September I'm making a contribution to a new candidate, announcing it here on Daily Kos, and encouraging you to join me. If one person matches my contribution on my ActBlue page, I'll double my contribution; if ten people match it, I'll triple. Details here.
Yesterday Clem Yeobright, jnhobbs, Joseph Stupec, and A Tyner matched my contribution to John Laesch, and libear celebrated his dad's birthday with another contribution, so I'm sending John $20 more today.
Angie Paccione is running again in Colorado's 4th District. Follow me below the fold for more.
Brahman Colorado suggested Angie Paccione in comments the other day.
Colorado's 4th district is high on Karl Rove's "priority defense" list. That's probably because Colorado is getting bluer (although the district's PVI is R+9), because Angie came within 3 percentage points of the incumbent in 2006, and because the incumbent, Marilyn Musgrave, is a blithering fool.
Angie is a good candidate with good values; she'll do good for her district and the country. With the name recognition she garnered in '06, with the higher turnout of a presidential election, and with increasingly blue sentiment nationally and in the mountain states in particular, she's got a very good shot at it in '08 - and a better shot, still, with our help. Angie, here's $20 from me; who will match?
Here's Angie's website.
