I was not surprised that I am seeing so little chatter on the matter of the permanent FISA-fix. I was not surprised to read on Huffington Post that the Dems are caving in their standard spineless worthless tradition or that they are keeping known progressive supporters in the dark about the content of the legislation so that those groups can not muster the public outcry needed to derail their planned treason. I was not surprised to find, upon a moments introspection, that yes a healthy portion of our congressional Democrats now are against liberty and free expression and deserve to face the same treason sentance as I would see levied against their GOP counter parts. I am only surprised by my lack of surprise.
This is not a healthy democracy anymore. Our elections are compromised. Our freedoms are dwindling. Our media is owned by those who would see it all undone in favor of greater profits. People say rebellion and civil unrest would destroy the nation, that it would be madness. A lot of people probably said the same things when someone suggested shooting cancer patients full of dangerous poisons in the hope of killing the cancer before killing the patient. Ask a survivior if Chemo is madness.
I've said it enough times that my voice is hoarce and my fingers are calloused from typing. I think we have talked and watched in horror long enough; maybe too long. I have told you what I think of the lonely men who made martyrs out of presidents and my opinions of McVeigh and his ilk are even lower. I have implimented my own private general strike and I now wait. I will go to North Carolina and whatever else I do there I will be waiting.
Sooner or later we will have to march on Washington as we never have before. We have to march like people who can see the guns that are being pointed at our children. We have to march refusing to pushed back or denied. We have to stand up to resistance or arrest. We have to fight any and all opposition to the restoration of our liberties. I can't bring that fight on my own, so I wait. I wait for people to stop hiding behind their families and start fighting for them. I wait for people to understand that the GOP didn't create this system control to just hand it over. I wait for everyone else to understand that the next big powergrab will be too late.
They are a little closer to their goal and I am a little closer to my destination. Where are you America? Where are you when we need you?
