There is a new book out on George W. Bush, said to be the product of unfettered access to Bush, called DEAD Certain.
It is an apt title as Because of George W. Bush's certainty, and the basis of it, a lot of people, past, present and future, wind up DEAD.
It is called The Calvinist Tautology:[G.W. Bush in at least six different venues]: The basis for my wealth, fame and attaining the presidency is preordination or predestination by God; the "evidence" that I have been predestined or preordained by God is my wealth, fame and having attained the presidency.
Tautological Hubris

A Poem by Jim Craven/Omahkohkiaayo i'poyi
-
We,
are Americans,
"Number One",
you know,
just ask us;
"Number One"
in what?
money, for instance,
and that buys
everything else of "worth".
-
We are the most,
among nations,
in God's Grace;
How do we know?
we're "Number One",
and only those in God's Grace,
would God make "Number One",
that is the evidence,
the "proof",
it is all very Calvinist,
and purely tautological.
-
And only those
in God's Grace,
have the "Truth",
that is also the evidence,
the "proof",
that we are in God's grace,
and have the truth,
since only those with the "Truth",
could be in God's Grace,
and vice versa,
it is all very Calvinist,
and purely tautological.
-
And how can those
with the "Truth",
be wrong?
or not act
in accordance
with the "Truth"?
and that is the evidence,
the "proof",
that we have the "Truth",
and act in accordance with it,
because what we believe,
and what we do,
keeps us in God's Grace,
"therefore",
we must have the "Truth",
and must be acting
in accordance with it,
it is all very Calvinist,
and purely tautological.
-
And since
those who have the "Truth",
and act in accordance with it,
are the Good
and the Blessed,
we must be
the Good and Blessed,
as
we have the "Truth",
and act
in accordance with it,
which means that those
who do not
believe as we do,
or act
as we act,
must not have the "Truth",
or be acting in accordance with it,
they must not be
in God's Grace,
they must be
Evil and the Damned;
it is all very Calvinist,
and purely tautological.

It is a disease of the whole Bush family going back to Samuel Bush and "presents" the following symptoms: hubris; a grotesque sense of entitlement; absolute certainty in: having been preordained to rule, fitness to rule and in correctness of all decisions; megalomania, elitism, racism; no accountability; predation; calculated ruthlessness and vengeance; don't get "even", get interest; psychopathy and sociopathy.
Karl Menenger once noted:
"The neurotic is one who builds castles in the sky and the psychotic is the one that moves in--and the shrink collects the rent."
He could have added that often the "rent" for the space and power held by the psychotic is paid in blood, treasure and a lot of misery of a lot of innocents.
Bush moved into his psychotic castle a long time ago. This is a preppy punk that has never succeeded on his own, or even with a lot of help, at anything yet has never been allowed to fail. When one is totally insulated from the realities of his failures and inadequacies, and when one is given credit for the accomplishments of others that are internalized as one's own accomplishments, then it is a short step to the next level of hubris to actually believe that one has been preordained or predestined by God to be rich, famous, entitled, to rule and thus to take rule by whatever means are necessary.
And once one internalizes that one has been preordained by God to rule, and since God is perfect and not, as Voltaire thought, "a comedian playing to an audience with no sense of humor", then what one thinks and believes must be the truth (How could a perfect God put a lying psychopath in office?) and thus also, only those who believe as one does are also acting in accordance with and in support of "God's Will" as manifested in the decisions and policies of God's chosen servant.
No kidding. In at least 6 different venues, in front of thousands of witnesses, Bush has openly stated that he was destined and actually chosen by God for the presidency. And on two occasions, he has said that taking the 2000 Election even having 500,000 or so less popular votes than Gore, is evidence not of he and the Supremes having stolen the election, but rather as evidence of his preordination and predestination despite the odds and even the actual vote itself. Now that is chutzpah.
Well if one has been preordained to rule by a perfect God, then one must take care how "God's Servant" is portrayed in the history books. What does that mean? Well one thing it means is that now way "God's Servant" would go into a war not pre-ordained to be fought by a perfect God and thus no war preordained by a perfect God could ever be "lost". God is no "loser".
What to do if one is actually losing a war preordained by a perfect God to be fought? Well one could fall back on Voltaire. One could say that what appears to be losing in the short-run where mankind lives is actually winning in the long-run where God lives. Or, one could take the advice of a flaming nazi gas bag (no not the Hindenberg) Rush Limbaugh (Roach [Viagara] Limpbone) that: As long as U.S. and its allied forces are in Iraq and fighting, no one can say that the war was actually lost or lost on your watch. Stall for time. Plus, when you hand off the war to the next administration, likely to be Democratic, just like handing off a lot of deficits and debt, you wind up handing off a "fiscal straight-jacket", Trojan Horse, "starving of the beast" and "poison pill" forcing cutbacks in those liberal/pinko welfare programs and entitlements that even your own kool-aid drinkers and ideologues in your own party lack the poltical will to take out for good. It's win-win out of what only appears to be lose-lose.
And there is an element of Las Vegas in all of it; the reason the house wins. It is in the psychology of the gambler and that of the whole Bush family: "No one is going to get over on me."; "I will get the last word, laugh and response." Like the gambler losing, he will not leave until he has at least "broken even" and in staying, he just loses more and more andthis the House counts on and is the basis for why the casinos are so profitable. Even someone who has won, often does not know when to "hold' em, fold'em and when to walk away."
Hope springs eternal while the blood of innocents flows and massive ripple effects and dislocations widen and deepen throughout the global economy: "When I win the lottery; when the cards or dice or wheel finally turn my way; when, when, when...
