Three limousines bearing Canadian and Australian flags were waved through police checkpoints in the Sydney central business district and drove into the APEC restricted area to within a block of President Bush's hotel earlier this week. The motorcade stopped and a man dressed as Osama Bin Laden got out of one of the vehicles. Only then did the police realize something was amiss and arrested 11 people.

This story has been scrubbed from much of American media and has been discussed only briefly here ( see oznick's diary from last night: http://www.dailykos.com/... I think it is quite newsworthy because it reveals the sham of inept and costly security that drains the treasuries of any number of First World nations.
If it sounds like something dreamed up by a political comedy show, it was. Here's the Wiki on the Chaser show; http://en.wikipedia.org/...
Once again, comedy trumps reality. Fortunately no one was hurt and the Chaser's crew can claim that they were doing nothing wrong as police gave them permission to enter. We can hope that the security experts of the world learn a little lesson here; as one reader commented, the police were likely busy looking for wicked leftie protesters waving banners and completely missed the obvious.
I'm all for letting comedians take over the jobs of every last one of the talking heads.
