RedBox, a movie vending machine company, have their machines popping up across my Chicago community. Taking jobs and business from nearby local movie stores.
Redbox is a company which produce rental koisks for movies. http://en.wikipedia.org/...
I work as a cashier at a grocery store where a Redbox machine is stationed next to. Every day I see women and children renting the movies from the box because it's only $1, even though they know there's a Blockbuster nearby. These people speak to their kids and say things along the lines of: "I'm never going to blockbuster again, their business was built on late fees for years and snacks were overpriced. With these conveniently located RedBoxes we get get a cheap movie and walk into the Dominick's to get cheap popcorn."
Movie store employees are losing their jobs due to this great evil known as RedBox, I ask you to join me in my boycott to keep cashier and stocking positions in local movie stores.
