What church does Barack Obama belong to?___________
Obama has said that his minister is his "spiritual guide," but what does this "spiritual guide" believe?________________________________
Is Louis Farrakahn his minister's hero?_______________________
Very little has been written about Obama's church and religious beliefs while Mitt Romney has taken a barage of hits over his affiliation with the Church of Latter Day Saints. And this hit parade is often followed by considerable speculation about the influence of his faith on his Presidency.
How can there be such an amazing double standard in the coverage of these two candidates? If the religion of the one is important, why isn't the religion of the other? Particularly since Obama's church is self-described "afrocentric."
The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, is the spiritual mentor to Senator Barack Obama, and in that role he was scheduled to appear with the senator when Obama made his presidential announcement. Barack Obama had asked Wright to begin the event with a public invocation.
But according to Wright Obama called him the night before the Feb. 10 announcement and rescinded the invitation.
"Fifteen minutes before Shabbos I get a call from Barack," Mr. Wright said in an interview with the NYT, recalling that he was at an interfaith conference at the time. "One of his members had talked him into uninviting me," Mr. Wright said, referring to Mr. Obama’s campaign advisers.
Some black leaders are questioning Mr. Obama’s decision to distance his campaign from Mr. Wright because of the campaign’s apparent fear of criticism over Mr. Wright’s teachings, which some say are overly Afrocentric to the point of excluding whites.
But afrocentric is only part of the problem. Last month the Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. and Obamas's Church the Trinity United Chiurch of Christ in Chicago honored Louis Farrakhan at a gala, bestowing on him the Rev. Dr. Jermiah A. Wright J. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteeer award.
In the Nov/Dec issue of the church magazine, Trumpet, Wright lavished praise on Farrakhan as one of the giants of the African-American religious experience. Wright has also equted Zionism with racism, compared Israel to South Africa under apartheid and on the Sunday following 9/11, 2001, Wright characterized the terrorist attacks as the consequence of violent American policies.
In 1984 Wright went to Tripoli to visit Col Muammar el_Qaddafi with the nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and so he explained the last minute dis-invite to kick off Obama's presidential campaign by saying, "a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quidcker than a snowball in hell?
According to Wright, Obama told him, "You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we've decided is that it's best for you not to be out there in public."
Wright, in awarding Farrakhan said,"When Miniser Farrakhan speaks, black America listens. His depth on analysis when it comes to the racial ills of this nation as astounding and eye-opening. He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest. So here is a sampling of that analysis:
"Do you know some of these staanic Jews have taken over BET? Everything we built they have. The mind of Satan now is running the record industry, movie industry and television. And they make us look like we're the murderers' we look like we're the gnagsters, but we're punk stuff." Nov. 11, 2007
"Whites are blue-eyed devils" and they are "the anti-christ."
"Jews are blood suckers who control the government, the media and some black organizations."
On its website Obama's church declares it is "unashamedly black." Can you imagine if Romney's declared it was unashamedly white? The church's website also says, "We are an African people and remain true to our native land, the mother continuent the cradle of civilization."
"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."
Perhaps it is also instructive to review some of the more fundamental teachings of Louis Farrakhan as documented by the Anti-Defamation League.
Beware some of this is so vile you will want to vomit.

In my opinion Farrakhan is odious, Wright isn't much better and Candidate Obama has a whole lot of explaining to do.
