Republican Congressman Mark Souder is leading a Boycott against Gas Stations in his district. Has GOP Congressman Mark Souder finally decided to do something beneficial for his constituents ? Remember this is the same Representative Souder that voted against cracking down on big oil companies price gouging. Mark Souder also voted for the GOP energy bill that gave billions to the petroleum industry. Representative Souder has received thousands of dollars from big oil over the years so why would he bite the hand that feeds him ? It's all about a cute little flower being sold in a couple of Fort Wayne gasoline stations.
One of Souder's jobs as a boy was to Cross out the word "devil's" on The Devil's Food Cakes because His uncle said that nothing that Good should have the word "devil" on its package.
Otherwise safe and legal products are always being used in ways that are neither legal nor safe, and it’s wrong to blame manufacturers and merchants when consumers use products inappropriately.
Latham discussed this topic last week with State Rep. Win Moses at a forum to discuss proposed hate-crimes legislation, and the Fort Wayne Democrat made it clear the law will be of little help.
"Eighty-two percent of the people in American prisons are there because of drugs. But you can’t ban glass tubes," Moses said.
Mark Souder/Congressman, 3rd District: "I support a boycott. That's voluntary consumer decision."
Co-Chair of the House Drug Policy Caucus, Souder thinks Latham's plan is a good one. The Congressman hopes to go one step further in the near future with a law banning hidden drug compartments, like these.
Mark Souder/Congressman, 3rd District: "I believe when something is used solely for illegal purposes, it should be illegal."
Drug Warriors Clinton & Souder
Don't let the idiot Souder know that you can also smoke crack out of any aluminum or metal can easier than those tiny love roses much quicker too.I've had enough of their moralizing , punishment , and propaganda when it comes to the trillion dollar disaster otherwise known as the failed war on drugs. One would imagine that a rational person would recognize that it's time to throw in the towel and try something different. Especially with nearly 140 years of the same old failed drug war strategy that has brought us to the sorry state that we currently are at when it comes to narcotics addiction in America.
It is hard to escape the conclusion that drug prohibition has failed. Any citizen who still supports the failed war on drugs are either a Fundamentalist , a Fascist , or a Fool. I'm sure Souder is a combination of all three and then some. I think I would move if I lived in his district. During alcohol prohibition they even tried to ban Bay Rum Aftershave Lotion all the while Al Capone was buying off 90% of all cops and Politicans in Chicago.
It's time to quit rejecting science and medicine only then can we deal with this drug problem of ours. The powers that be allow horrible things to occur all in the name of combating drugs. These addicted people go through hell under the present failed enforcement System.
New York University law professor Paul Chevigny points out that in the long run, the police will be the biggest losers from police militarization and its accompanying mentality: "The police think of themselves as an occupying army, and the public comes to think the same. The police lose the connection with the public which is a principal advantage to local policing, and their job becomes progressively more difficult, while they become more unpopular." An erosion of public confidence in the police has to be a matter of grave concern for anyone who cares about the future of law and order.
140 years worth of "wars on drugs" and glorification of cops has created a violent culture of law enforcement that is contemptuous of the public , corrupt and confident in their cruelty.
