Ok, so thank goodness we on the left got on the road to taking back the media, especially talk radio a few years back. Whether you love Air America or the Jones Radio Network or your own local independent radio station; Liberal/Progressive talk is flourishing and growing everday. For all of us who love listening on a daily or near daily basis, we have grow to love our Talkers. So in this venue, I present the question and poll of the day.
Who is YOUR favorite Talker?

*"Big Eddy" Ed Schultz- My personal fave, the center left talker from the heartland is a midwesterner (like me) and speaks the voice of the rest of America that doesnt live in NY, CA or TX. I like his style and open mike and that he is not afraid to "call 'em as he sees 'em".
*"The Goddess" Randi Rhodes- the face of Air America now that Al is running for Senate. She is one of the longest running talkers and takes the right wing to task everyday. Her humor and biting commentary are a real treat for any listener
*"Mr. Therapy" Mike Malloy- the right wing has Mike Savage, we have Mike Malloy. Someone has to be the attack dog on radio and Mike is definetely that. His style leaves many Liberal listeners feeling pretty good and ready to fight the good fight.
*"Mr. Smooth" Tom Hartmann- an almost perfect replacement for the Franken at Air America. This smooth voiced talker is quite refreshing to listen to; his intellectual commentary and dry wit makes him one of the listener's favorite talkers.
*"Curly Howard on Benzadrine" Lionel Hampton- His shows are off the wall, crazy and sometimes a bit wierd but his satire and cutting humor is raw and unmistakably ment to keep you thinking. He can take a bit getting used to, but his shows are always fun.
*"Smart and Sassy" Rachel Maddow- Great mike voice and great radio presence make Rachel a welcomed addition to the lefty dial. This LGBT advocate is unmistakably a force on the radio and will continue to be so into the future.
*"In Need of a Husband" Stephanie Miller- Perhaps the funniest talker on political talk radio, this lady is politically active, smart and a comediene to boot. If you don't love Steph then maybe somebody removed your sense of humor.
*"Old Schooler" Bill Press- like Randi, Bill has been doing lefty talk forever and two days. He comes off as the serious and middle ground thinker for the Liberals but makes no bones about where he stands against the right wing noise machine.
*"Third Wheel" Alan Colmes- my least favorite talker of any format. Alan is the token liberal on Faux News and sadly he folds like a tent in the wind against "slanthead" Sean "insanity" Hannity, a real shame to be sure because Alan is actually a nice guy who is pretty intellegent.
*"Loud and Left" Sam Seder- you either love or hate Sam. His high pitched screeches when he gets angry are a bit hard to listen to, but his daily diatribes against the Republicans are usually right on target and devastating.
*"I am America" Stephen Colbert- well, most everyone knows this guy. Colbert is a great comic and a hard hitting host for his report on Comedy Central.
*"The Original" Jon Stewart- He gave lefties a place at the table on television and a place to laugh at the right wing.
*"I hate Bill O'Reilly" Keith Olbermann- the former ESPN anchor is a ligitimate newsman now, but clearly left of center and clearly out to bring down Fox News and Bill O'Reilly especially.
Well there you have it.. tell me what you think and talk about the Talkers!
