California is coming together to work on health care for everyone. We have Assembly Bill 1X which would provide health care for all Californians. This bill is a significant move in the right direction, but this morning I was called to asked my Assembly member to vote no.
The people responsible are not being transparent. Details on the flip.
At 8:45am today I answered my phone. The caller asked if I was a registered voter.
Yes.
Are you aware that the California Assembly is voting on Assembly Bill 1x which would cost taxpayers and raise the cost of health insurance?
No.
I'm going to transfer you to your Assembly member so you can urge them to VOTE NO.
Hold on. Who's funding you?
What?
Who's funding you? Who's paying you to make these calls?
CLICK.
Of course *69 doesn't work. I don't know who is behind these calls and what I could do. If you have ideas on how to find out or who to complain to, let me know. I thought that callers for political issues had to be transparent. Is this not the case?
Those insurance companies must be really, really nervous about losing their businesses. Good. Health care is a right not a privilege.
Of course I plan on calling my Assembly Member and saying VOTE YES and then telling them about my experience.
