I have respect for Bill Clinton as a president but not as an individual, particularly after he used his power to take advantage of a young woman, then lied about it to his staff and to the public.
The way Bill has been acting the last few weeks has further lowered my respect for him as an individual. The comment comparing Obama's win to Jackson's was the final straw for me. To quote Bill himself: Shame on you, Bill. Shame on you.
Obama is far from perfect, but I do think he would be best for our country (actually, Kucinich would have been best for our country, but unfortunately, he is no longer in the race.) However, if Clinton manages to come away with the nomination -- and that's a big if -- I will certainly vote for her, but she is going to have to rely on yellow-dog dems like me to contribute money, volunteer, and encourage others to vote for her. That is becoming harder and harder given the distasteful win-at-all-costs tactics her campaign is taking. It is hurting both Hillary and Bill, and it is hurting the party.
