John McCain, you should be afraid. Very afraid. If you lose this election you are going to regret stoking the Republican mob up into such a fever pitched frenzy. Let's face it: the Republican base that hates Obama with so much passion are the very same people in your party that revile you, John McCain. If Obama wins the Presidency, you are going to go down as the RINO that lost the permanent Republican majority to a dark skinned terrorist in these people's eyes. Mark the words: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap!
All of those impassioned idiots shouting, "Kill him!" and "Terrorist" are going to focus their white hot hatred on you John McCain! And Sarah Palin, you are in no way guaranteed of a pardon either! Sure, you are a star in their eyes right now, but if you have that big fat "Loser" brand pinned on you it is in no way guaranteed that you'll be immune from the Right Wing's insatiable demand for scapegoats and sacrificial lambs. After all, you'll be forever tied to the hated McCain!
So John McCain, Sarah Palin, watch your backs. John, you were already one of the most reviled members of the Senate. Even before the election you were by no means popular with the Republican base. And now you've gone and squandered every last bit of good will and 'reputation' you previously had as a maverick. Many in your real base (the media) see you now for what you are. No, you've betrayed yourself as a selfish, ego driven candidate without a shred of real principle. Good luck trying to rehabilitate that image.
I can't imagine there is much of anyone left who is going to stick by you if you lose this election. The mob is coming, John, and it is going to be supremely ugly and supremely mad.
Update [2008-10-10 22:46:56 by manyoso]: McCain himself has decided to try and tamp down the mob and was greeted with a round of derision. It is only going to get worse John as they pick up the sent of a loss. Link
