While writing a personal e-mail, and sorta listening to Senator Barbara Boxer being interviewed by David Gregory on MSNBC, they quickly cut to a recent McCain rally in Wisconsin. Apparently, about 15 minutes ago, after fielding yet another "I fear this terrorist" type question, McCain FINALLY took the high road. The "Maverick" said, in somber but strong fashion: He (Senator Obama) is a decent person, and a person that you do not have to be scared to be President of the United States.
Afterwards Gregory continued his interview with Boxer and little more was said about McCain's words. In fairness, I was only "sorta" paying attention to begin with, but if this is true, I'm happy that McCain is showing at least some class.
Update: While typing this, the Gregory show ended. Mike Brezinsky and Chuck Todd are now on the air now, and they're back discussing McCain's dirty campaign and how it is not working. I wonder however, if the beginning of the end to all of these desperate, dirty, and dangerous race baiting tactics was seen today, just now in Wisconsin.
Update 2: Mika just re-aired McCain's quote. Maybe John has a conscious after all! Chuck Todd now speaking about Norm Coleman pulling all of his negative adds against Al Franken. Today, might just be the day that we can go back to the real issues like the economy, the wars, universal healthcare, and the environment while saying goodbye to all the hateful "sleeper cell" bullshit!
