On May 16th, CIA agent Larry C. Johnson came out with this bombshell that there was a damning tape of Michelle Obama.
I now have it from two three four sources (three who are close to senior Republicans) that there is video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against "whitey" at Jeremiah Wright’s church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research. Someone took the chance and started reviewing the recordings from services at Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ. Holy smoke!! I am told there is a clip that is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time.
By June 1st, it had hit the traditional media, as Susan Who told us.
On June 4th, rumors sprang up that the Whitey tape had been found, but alas, it was a rickroll
On June 27th, Larry explained why it wasn't out yet even though Hillary had dropped out and endorsed Obama:

Well Hardy, for the umpteenth time, I do not have the tape. And, as I have stated repeatedly, the folks who do have the tape are waiting until after the Democrat convention in August. These people are working to elect John McCain and want to run against Barack Obama. Anyone who insists that I have access to the tape give new meaning to the term, "moron." I wish I did, but I do not.
Time will tell. I am confident my sources are telling the truth about what they know.
I posted "Found the tape" in that thread, linked to my own blog, where I then posted a link to the fake tape, and Michellerolled at least 40 loyal NoQuarter denizens that way.
Johnson has not mentioned it since September 4th
The McCain campaign, meanwhile, has not mentioned it, but they are desperate enough to bring Michelle Obama into the mix, as they recently tried to tie her to Ayers' wife (and fellow Weatherman) Bernardine Dohrn.
Pretty clearly, they don't have it. So, what you do think has happened to the Whitey Tape?
