Most of us know Sean Hannity as the chum-maker for the Red Meat Eaters. Robert Gibbs is Obama's Communications Director, which, in essence makes him the top surrogate...

Hannity v. Gibbs
Let's look at the election as a game of chess. You have the Kings (Obama & McCain), the Queens (Biden & Palin) then you have Rooks, Bishops, Knights and pawns...
In my opinion, Axelrod and Gibbs are the Rooks - the two most important campaign members other than the principal candidates. Of course, you could put Plouffe in there as well. But at the least, Gibbs is a power piece.
McCain, also has his rooks - but the line has blurred. No longer is his campaign a campaign (if it ever was). Now it is a hate-fest. And who better to voice the strategy besides Sean Hannity. McCain has put his political fate in the hands of Hannity, Limbaugh, Westmoreland, and their ilk.
If you look into that 6 min clip between Hannity and Gibbs, it's easy to see how Gibbs turned the "attacker" Hannity, on the defensive.
If you look even closer, you can see that at one point Gibbs practically forces Hannity to take his notes with Andy Martin's anti-semetic quotes. Hannity, beaten, submissively accepts the note.
The body language here is worth discussing. Gibbs is smiling because he knows he's got that weasel Hannity trapped. Hannity, however, is quickly becoming enraged and his illogical-logical way of arguing suddenly sounds completely pathologically illogical (which it already does to most of us).
The reality here is that Gibbs just authored the playbook for how to tackle thugs like Hannity. But here's where it gets really interesting...
In my earlier analysis, I discussed how Hannity is symbolic for McCain's campaign, and how Gibbs, as Communication Director for Obama, definitely is representative of the Obama campaign.
Gibbs totally outed Hannity. The calm facade Hannity usually sports when he's spinning well, completely eroded. Now, imagine McCain attacks Obama during the debate. McCain has a worse temper than Hannity, and Obama is definitely cooler than Gibbs.
What would happen is a McCain Meltdown. Obama will have something ready for him - you can bank on that. I'm not saying he needs Gibbs for that - but it certainly can't hurt. Personally, I'm hoping that the man will be Press Secretary when Obama gets into office.
In conclusion, I believe that McCain is about to step on the landmine he himself placed.
