Never mind those monkey-carrying, death threat-shouting, black reporter-threatening brown shirts attending McCain/Palin rallies in large numbers these days, sayeth that font of wisdom Michelle Malkin.
let’s give the tongue-clucking and tut-tutting about "insane rage" and "violent escalation of rhetoric" a rest then, shall we? There’s a bottomless well of it in the backyard of the Paul Krugmans and Frank Riches and Ana Marie Coxes of the world. Look in the mirror.

Yes, ladies and gents, that esteemed scholar who brought you the ingenious, subtle argument that a war with country X requires locking all people with any historical ties to country X away in prison (even if they were born in the US and have never set foot in country X) and robbing all their property has weighed in on recent events, and it is her considered position that we have more to fear from college students who give Ann Coulter (who, we know, has never provoked anyone) the one-finger salute she so eminently deserves than from frenzied mobs who consider candidates for the Presidency to be terrorists who should be bombed and killed.
Note too that she has gone back all the way to 2004 to find examples of "insane rage" on the left. Scary, scary stuff, this, eh? An "Abort Sarah Palin" sign. Clearly a threat to actually carry out her abortion. First, find her mom; second, stuff her adult-size body back up inside mom; third, call a doctor who performs abortions. Palin must have hired extra security to prepare for this insane terroristic threat.
Is Michelle drunk or high? She often looks like she's under the influence of something when she appears on Fox. That would explain all this. Hopefully, her family and friends...well, her family at least are on top of this and planning an intervention soon.
But let's be sober for a minute, Michelle. Let's look at reality. I know, it'll be tough for you, but let's try. You have cited a few cases, over the past four years, of people on the left drawing mean pictures of Republicans or tearing down campaign signs. Civil behavior? Perhaps not. But let's get real.
The FBI statistics on hate crimes (that is, crimes, Michelle, not simply someone flipping someone else off for being a rightwing doofus--CRIMES, i.e., assaults, murders, rapes) for 2006 are the most recent, so far as I'm aware. Among them we count more than 5,000 violent crimes against victims that were motivated by the victim's racial identity. Of these, nearly 70% were against blacks. Another 1300 violent hate crimes were motivated by the ethnicity or national origin of the victim. 63% of these victims were Latinos.

Let's be clear: THIS is the atmosphere in which lunatics at McCain/Palin rallies are carrying around stuffed monkeys with Obama bumper stickers around their heads and calling out "Bomb Obama." This is the kind of stuff your side has to take responsibility for, Michelle. When will you do that?
