Love em or hate em, you gotta give em credit. They know how to play this game of politics. Just as Obama's campaign has wrestled team McCain to the mat over the past month, President and Senator Clinton arrive in the spotlight to make sure McCain stays pinned.
The Republican party is not used to going down like this: so hard, so early. So they have all their dark forces at work and on display. Job one for the Republicans is to scare the shit out of the MSM. That will be much harder to do with Bill and Hillary on the scene.
Bill and Hillary will act as a media buffer for Obama and the MSM.
When Hillary says things like "If Obama wins Pennsylvania he cannot lose this election." she is clearly engaging in Framing 101. And that's important, because as much as I love and respect the guy, David Plouffe wouldn't know a frame if it hit him in the face. Keeping it simple and loud and clear is the Clinton specialty.
Also, at the PA rally with senator Biden, Bill Clinton said "Barack Obama has deployed me to Virginia as of today. And I want to tell you we are going to win Virginia." That's big league framing. The Clinton's are telling America it's about PA and Virginia, where Obama's leads are solid right now.
So I am very happy for Senator and President Clinton, because they get to be a legitimate part of this historic event: electing Obama president and driving a stake into the heart of the Radical Republican Party.
I am very happy for Hillary especially, and I hope she gets exactly what she wants from Obama when he becomes President. I hope she gets a Supreme Court nomination, although I am not sure she wants it.
I now can wholeheartedly say, "Thank you." to the Clintons, because they are entering this fight at exactly the right time in exactly the right way.
Good luck out-framing the Clintons.
