This is VERY impressive:
DIGG it
Notice how he doesn't get defensive, he takes the time to answer the man's questions in detail. I hope he does more of that in the debate tonight.
Also, more people think McCain will raise their taxes than Obama, from the CBS/NYT poll:
If he were elected President, do you think (candidate) would raise taxes on people like yourself, or wouldn't he do that?
Obama: Would 46%, Would Not 41%
McCain: Would 51%, Would Not 38%
What I love most about the video is that Barack takes the time to tell them man "I understand where you are coming from, but imagine if you were where you were 10 years ago today, wouldn't you want lower taxes?" He told the man that he's not trying to PUNISH him for being successful, he's merely trying to give someone else the opportunity, and that had his tax policy been in place about 10 years ago, the man would have been able to save MORE when he was making under $250,000 a year and could have started his business sooner. I think the man really respected that Obama looked him in the eye and answered his questions calmly and patiently. I don't know if he got that man's vote, but he probably got him to think about voting for Obama if he wasn't before.
TPM points out that Obama's commercial about McCain taxing health care benefits may be paying off. I think the health care argument is very strong. Here's the ad I see the most in Ohio:
and another one that I'm seeing more and more:
He's also running a tax ad:
There's another really good ad running in Ohio about how McCain won't cut taxes for the middle class, I can't find it, but I'm looking for it.
But we're winning the TAX debate! This is awesome!
And they've added a calculator to the website so you could see how much you'd save under Obama's plan:
