I'm looking forward to tonight's debate. I'm not taking what the polls say for granted. I'm still biting my nails. I'm still nervous.
Memories of 2000 and 2004 are still fresh in my mind. The fear of where we are at, where we've been and where we could be headed looms around like a Halloween shadow.
Sometimes I think I wonder if I'm overreacting. Perhaps it all isn't as bad as I think. Then I see a video (not a campaign video) like this:
These are real people. These are real stakes.
This is why we must not become complacent. We must still wake up and act everyday as if we are still ten points down in the polls.
We can not afford to let one vote go by or be taken for granted. This election is too important.
