We here at CNJ News are proud to host a forum on undecideds, just 18 days before the election. We've invited 4 undecideds to come and join us in a discussion.
CNJ News: Welcome everyone, and thanks for coming to our forum on undecideds and the 2008 presidential race.
We'd like to introduce our panel: Ted, an independent from Missouri, Bob, a registered Republican from Arkansas, Mary, a registered Democrat from Pennsylvania, and Megan, an independent from Idaho.
Welcome all, and please have a seat...
Ted: Well, ladies first...
Mary: Oh no, you first...
Megan: Well, I like this chair over here, what about you Bob?
Bob: Can I sit farthest from the moderator, I'm kind shy?
Ted: I kinda like the middle seat...
Mary: I had my eyes on the middle...
CNJ: Would you just!...I mean, please, please just sit wherever you like.
We have some refreshments for you...water, coffee, or tea?
Bob: What kind of tea do you have?
Megan: Is it chai or green tea?
Ted: Is the coffee decaf or regular? Or maybe I could get half of each?
Mary: And is the creamer dairy or not? Maybe I'll just have sugar...
Bob: I need to know more about the tea...could you show me the ingredients?
Megan: And is the coffee fair trade?
CNJ: Whatever you like folks, you're our guests...
Let me ask you Bob...what is your hesitation about choosing a candidate to vote for?
Bob: Well, first of all let me apologize for my appearance...I was running late...I couldn't choose between my black socks and my brown socks...so I wore one of each. Then I thought, should I dress up? Or should I go casual? So I wore jeans with a dress jacket...
CNJ: Okay, moving on...Mary, you said that you're leaning towards Obama?
Mary: Well, that was yesterday. Today I'm leaning towards McCain.
CNJ: Well, what exactly is it that attracts you to McCain?
Mary: Wait...what time is it?
CNJ: It's 1:10 Mary...
Mary: Oh, I've just switched back to Obama...
CNJ: Megan, you still haven't made a choice yet?
Megan: I think I'll go with the chai tea...
CNJ: I meant about your candidate?
Megan: Well, I kinda like Obama, but there's that experience thing...and some things I like about McCain, but he's kinda old...
CNJ: So what will be your ultimate deciding factor?
Megan: Oh, come November 4th I might just toss a coin...
CNJ: That seems kind of arbitrary...
Ted: I think so too! I'll just roll some dice and see who comes out ahead...
Mary: I might use an Ouija board...I use that for most of my major decisions...
Bob: Or my horoscope...that helps me a lot...
CNJ: Well, let's just take a straw poll here, who here is leaning towards Obama? Please raise your hand. Uh, Mary, you raised both hands...
Okay, who is leaning towards McCain? Bob, you already voted for Obama...
Bob: Who says I can't vote twice!? Isn't this a democracy?
Megan: I want to wait until the next debate to see what color ties Obama and McCain wear...that's very important to me...
CNJ: Uh, the debates are over...
Mary: Over!? How are we supposed to decide based upon 2 years of campaigning and only 3 debates!?
Ted: I need to know their stances on collecting Star Wars memorabilia...
Bob: And I need to know if they are boxers or briefs men...that can tell you a lot about a person, you know!
Megan: And are they cat or dog people...I still need to do research...
CNJ: Well, we're out of time folks...thanks to each of you for coming in...in our next forum we'll speak with a group from Jews for Jesus...
