The last week has introduced to us the Republican mantra of "Real Americans". As if this country wasn't divided enough. As if the tears, sweat, lives and disappointment throughout the last 8 years weren't enough, they now dare to question our Americanism. We have Pfotenhauer on Hardball stating that there are parts of Virginia that are not really Virginia. We have Palin launching her ignorant and smear based analysis of the situation of ACORN. We have Palin stating that she only visits the "Pro-American" parts of the country. We have McCain stating that Obama's economic plans are socialist. HOW DARE THEY. HOW DARE THEY ever question anybody's patriotism. Look what their damn party brought us. Our national debt is twice as much since Bush took office. Our country is in the midst of two very expensive and costly wars with no end in site. Our people are again becoming more and more divided with vitriol pouring out of "real american" mouths. HOW DARE THEY.
Obama put out this clip on YouTube almost one year ago. (Courtesy of The Jed Report http://www.jedreport.com/) We need to make sure that our friends, our families, our neighbors all understand that while we may disagree, we can all agree that we all love this country. We all hope that our children will fare better in the future. We all hope that our soldiers will come home to a condition that respects that service. WE ALL deserve a healthcare system that isn't just reactive, but proactive. WE ALL deserve better, better than what we have received in the last eight years. And what does the McCain campaign give us? Instead of hope or a firm vision of a prosperous and fair future, they give us more division, more empty plans, more smears, and more tactics regarding "voter registration fraud".
I WANT MORE IN THE NEXT PRESIDENT. I want this:

In these next two weeks, remember what you are fighting for. We are not just fighting for Obama, we are fighting for ourselves, our neighbors, our children and our seniors. We are fighting for the rights of Women, the rights of equality and the preservation of our planet. We are fighting to finally restore our country to the greatest promise that it can be. We are fighting to still have moral standing in the world. We are fighting for those yet to be born and for those who begin each day wondering if they will still have jobs. We are fighting for ALL AMERICANS. We are fighting for us. Remember, this is our time, our chance and our country. We are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Do not let them divide us. Get out the vote. Get your friends to vote. Get your families to vote. We all have a very big stake in this.
Thank you
