The moment will come during tonight's debates, soon enough. Just give her a little rope, let her demonstrate a few times what you're about to call her out on, and then quietly, softly, kneecap her.
Serve it up gently, let her react to the opening as if you're paying a sincere compliment, and then with sweet good humor shred her...
You know -- and I mean this honestly-- I'm impressed.
I've been around a lot of politicians in my lifetime. And a lot of them are pretty slick. But I don't think I've ever meet another politician with quite the gift that Sarah Palin has for avoiding the question
Just watch. Just listen.
Ask her to be specific, and she'll be anything but. First she'll avoid the question. Then she'll distract you. Then she'll attack.
It's not a bad tactic, when you've got nothing to say to defend your own qualifications. Maybe you'll get a memorable line or two in. Maybe you'll get a soundbite onto the evening news. Maybe you'll rattle the other guy. And if you're really lucky -- no one will ever notice that you never answered the question.
Now, I think the American people are much smarter than that.
So just watch her, and listen.
Is she answering the questions, or just evading them? Is she providing some real insight, or just a distraction? Can she defend her own beliefs, or just attack others?
