I have a confession.
I have donated $115.01 to Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
I have done this, primarily with a credit card online, because my children cannot afford 4 more years of George Bush's policies.
For the rest of this shocking expose, and more information about my personal fundraising efforts, please read the rest of this diary.
I did this because, as an Evangelical Christian and a family man, I oppose Senator McCain, who abandoned his first wife to marry a beer heiress.
I donated money to Barack Obama's campaign in direct response to the misleading and deceptive advertising of the Republican Party, and in direct response to the terrible attacks by the Tennessee Republican Party and members of the Family Resource Council, who made news and enemies with their controversial "Obama Waffles" boxes.
I also donated in reaction to Sarah Palin, who does not speak for me and has done a tremendous disservice to Christians, northerners, and conservatives - and I am all of those.
I donated in response to James Dobson's nasty radio attack on Barack Obama, because James Dobson does not speak for me.
I raised about $500 through small donations (23 people in total). Most of those donors gave in honor of my daughter's birth in July. I told them that my daughter cannot vote, and that our future depends on a change in course in 2008.
There you go, John.
There are hundreds of thousands of $10 and $25 stories just like mine.
So shut up already.
I am an American.
I am a proud patriot.
I am a Christian.
I am fed up.
I support Barack Hussein Obama.
