CNN broadcast Sarah Palin's Nevada stump speech minutes ago.
Please explain to me how voters can be so enthused about voting against their own self-interest.
On another note, I can't wait for Bible Spice / Caribou Barbie to crawl back to Alaska.
Palin pluckily berated Demoracts for 'smearing' Joe the Plumber. I would agree with her but for the fact that Joe is not a Plumber, nor is he planning to buy a business, so that his concern about paying a bit more taxes if he earned over 250K was insincere at best.
Palin then scolded Obama for increasing taxes. What part of "95% of Americans are getting a tax break" do the Republicans fail to understand?
A perky finger was shaken at 'Barack the Wealth Redistributor' or some such, I do not recall her exact phrase. All the poor people in the room, to whom Barack would give a tax break, booed heartily at the prospect of wealth being redistributed their way.
She continued to work the crowd with a 'Tito the Builder' story who, unlike Joe the Plumber, might actually be a builder. Tito who came from Columbia and realized the dream for himself, she waxed poetic.
Oh the Irony.
Tito can thank the Bush administration for the rise and fall of his construction business. Thanks to the Republicans, Tito the Builder might soon be Tito the Foreclosed or Tito the Unemployed.
The crowd was not sure whether to applaud or boo the kid whose sign said something like "Joe the Only Republican in my High School." She read many signs with a name, and an occupation. All of whom would get a tax break unless they trust fund heirs and heiresses.
They cheered.
I just don't get it.
