Tonight a reuters news story http://blogs.reuters.com/... is reporting that WalMart customers are delaying buying necessities according to corporate officials. And, in a "disturbing" trend, Eduardo Castro-Wright, President and Chief Executive of Wal-Mart's US operations has said for the first time is seeing a paycheck-related spike in sales of baby formula, suggesting consumers are rushing to buy such necessities as soon as they have the cash.
On the other hand Politico and other posters on dailykos are reporting tonight that the Republican National Committee has spent approximately 150,000 dollars over the last few weeks on clothes, accessories and haircuts on the Governor Sarah Palin and her family.
It is truly a stark contrast between the Republican ticket and the rest of America. Politico did report that it could not find expenses for Obama.
The Republicans can put "Joe the Plumber" on TV, they can run a contest on youtube for other "Joe the Plumbers", but even Joe the Plumber can't explain Palin accepting $150,000 in free clothes when people can't even afford to buy baby food except on payday. Say goodnight to the maverick and reformer label.
